Elizabeth Golden
Hi!
My name is Liz and I am a destination wedding photographer based in Jacksonville, FL. I feel that photography is my true calling in life. I absolutely love what I do and feel incredibly privileged when I am asked to be a part of a couple’s most important moments.
My father, a photographer by profession, made sure that while growing up, I was comfortable on both sides of the camera. In doing so, he awakened a gift within me that enables me to capture a unique perspective of a subject in a photograph. It is for this reason that I developed a love of photography, art and architecture and I decided to follow in my father’s footsteps to become a professional photographer.
My passion for art drives me to defy the boring and create memorable, timeless and interesting images for those that I photograph. My true love of artistic expressions in photography comes from capturing the beautiful emotion and energy within human relationships: love, joy, tenderness, and passion.
I have been honored by many with the privilege of telling their stories through the lens of my cameras. I hope to be able to tell your story as well!
All my best,
Christine Roland
Associate Photographer
Hello!
I am a wife, a mother, and an artist in that order. That means I am devoted, fierce, and prolific. When I am not accompanying Liz at weddings, I like to take pictures of tiny baby toes. Nothing beats the adrenaline high from hearing the cry of a newborn baby and there is nothing more novel than those first few days at home with a fresh new little bundle. I’ve been there, and trust me when I tell you that they come and go swiftly, so please allow me the honor to document those moments for you.
Painting, crafting, and all things art give me a meditative well being. I’ve been that way my entire life and I can’t remember a time without graphite or acrylic stains on my fingers. I must see a project to its completion and photography is an ideal outlet for that requirement because pictures can tell an entire story from start to finish. Photography began as a hobby for me as a teenager in order to fuel my creative outlets. It wasn’t until I was an adult and met Liz when she became my mentor and helped to bring my photography to the professional level that it is today. I am beyond thankful to her for her continued guidance on this journey.
When I am not shooting, I am fortunate to be at home with my little girl witnessing her every step. Empowering mothers to birth and feed their babies without fear is another passion of mine. I’m also a self proclaimed birth goddess, baby wearing, oil loving, Montessori teaching, nature trusting kind of soul. At my place you will find copious amounts of lavender and chamomile, paint brushes, vintage cameras, baby things, football, and really good scratch made food. That’s home for me.
As a photographer my intentions are to recognize the details that make an instant home for you, freeze them, and deliver timeless images for you to reflect on when you are feeling nostalgic.
