Hi!
I’m Chris!
All things art are my passion. I’ve been that way my entire life and I can’t remember a time without graphite or acrylic stains on my fingers. When I am not accompanying Liz at weddings, I like to take pictures of tiny baby toes.
Like my other creative outlets, photography began as a hobby for me. It all started when I became a mother and I just had to document my daughter’s tiny toes, fuzzy hairs, and perfect milk blister. It wasn’t until Liz became my mentor that my photography reached the professional level that it is today. I’m beyond thankful for her continued guidance on this journey.
Nothing beats the oxytocin high from hearing the cry of a newborn baby and there is nothing more novel than those first few days at home with a fresh new little bundle. I’ve been there, and trust me when I tell you that those days come and go swiftly, so please allow me the honor to document those moments for you.
Over time my style has become much more organic and pure because I want your images to be classic, timeless, and focused on your family instead superfluous accessories. I’ve also streamlined my newborn shooting method to make your baby’s session as safe, smooth, and quick as possible. I know how exhausting and hard those first few days are and I want your session to be enjoyable and memorable. I gift parents the chance to reflect back to those whirlwind days of baby-hood that go by too quickly.
Your family deserves to become an art piece that will be displayed in your home for decades to come. Don’t hesitate and question if it would be worth the investment because there is no doubt that your family is. I encourage you to book with me and I know you won’t regret it!

How to prepare
This fleeting moment of your newborn’s life is preferably documented between 3-14 days of age, although I have photographed babies up to 6 weeks. Newborns develop so quickly that after those first days, your baby will be more awake and less willing to cuddle for poses.
Upon booking, a time frame will be reserved for your session and a specific date will be discussed after your newborn arrives.
Your newborn’s session will be styled with a minimalist, monochromatic design. I use soft fabric backdrops and drapes to wrap up your sleepy newborn. I also provide bonnets and tie backs that have been personally selected or made by myself. All props will be provided in studio, but if you would like to bring a personal item for your baby’s session please notify me beforehand.
Family portraits are included in my largest package and are also simply designed. I suggest wearing jeans and plain black T-shirts or tank tops depending on how much skin you are comfortable with exposing. I mainly focus on family connection rather than perfect smiles at the camera but provide a variety of images with each pose. You may wear as much or as little makeup as you wish.
I have organized my session flow to go as smoothly as possible for everyone involved and focus on the comfort of your newborn. It’s expected for us to stop and nurse a hungry or restless baby many times during the session. A session including family photos may last up to 4 hours. Please eat before your session and bring all the essentials you will need for your baby.
If siblings are joining in on the family portraits I will get their images finished first, provided they are willing to participate in a safe manner for your newborn. Family photos will be shot after siblings and the session will be finished with individual portraits of your newborn. By photographing the family portion first, siblings can leave the session if they become restless. Newborn sessions take a lot of patience and sometimes that is hard to ask of young children (and sometimes adults too!)
To prepare for your newborn session I suggest avoiding caffeine the day of your baby’s shoot if you are breastfeeding. Dress baby in clothes that are easily removed. A feeding top-up right plus my wrapping techniques will help to lull baby into a deep sleep. Most importantly, try to keep your newborn awake before the session.

What you will receive
2-4 weeks after your session your personally selected and fully edited images will be uploaded to an online gallery where you can download, share, and purchase high-quality art products for your home. The choice of images for your gallery are selected and edited by myself and the number of images you may download is determined by what size package you booked. Your friends and family will have access to your ordering gallery and it can also be shared across social media sites.
Your session includes high-resolution digital negatives and a print release which can be used for birth announcements. While I offer digital negatives, please remember digital files are not archival and I highly recommend printing your portraits as soon as possible. I focus on quality, not quantity, and strive to provide classic fine art portraits that will be proudly displayed in your home and cherished by your family for generations!
Please contact us for detailed pricing information. Sessions being at $350.
