We had the best time ever with with this Oyster Bay Yacht Club engagement session a few days ago! They are such a cute couple and we are so excited for their upcoming wedding in Amelia Island, Florida!
When Carolina and I first chatted on the phone, we bonded over our love for travel and photography instantly. It won’t come as a surprise, but she used to model and her number one priority was having a photographer that she felt comfortable with. Thank goodness she found my silly personality to be charming because we clicked as if we had known each other for years the second they got out of the car!
It’s been raining like crazy here in North Florida the last couple of days and with Carolina needing to hop back on a plane to the west coast we didn’t have the option of waiting for better weather. Her and Anthony both came prepared to dance in the rain and take it as it came. Neither one of them complained at all as the rain went from a drizzle, to a steady drop and back again. Per pure Florida fashion the sun popped out for about 20 seconds and went right back behind it’s rainy cloud. No worries though! I love this Osyter Bay Yacht Club engagement session and the images we captured!
Recognize the venue?! That’s because we have shot so many amazing weddings there! You can see an Oyster Bay Yacht Club wedding here!
Their Love Story
Anthony and Carolina met in May of 2018 in Little Italy, San Diego and had a great conversation right off the bat! The following week she flew to Las Vegas for work and they kept texting throughout the trip. Her friends kept pushing her to ask if Anthony was free the night Carolina flew home. Thankfully and fortunately he was! She still remembers walling from the parking lot to the restaurant. The moment she saw him will forever be engraved in her mind and she will never forget his smile when she entered the restaurant. They went on several dates that summer, had so much fun and really enjoyed getting to know one another. At the end of summer Anthony told Carolina that he was leaving for 3 months to go to South America and asked if she could take him to the airport. The day came and they drove together to Los Angeles. Right before Anthony went through TSA he asked her to be his girlfriend! That started the first portion of their long distance relationship. They would talk every evening for hours. After almost three months, Carolina flew down to Bogota, Colombia and they spent Thanksgiving together. That Christmas they met in Amelia Island and Anthony introduced Carolina to his parents. They love to travel and experience places together. The first time they said “I love you” was in Mexico City. Anthony then proposed in Cali, Colombia.
After the proposal Anthony had to leave California for Texas and they have been living in different states since then. Even with so many miles between them, however, they never feel apart. Carolina says that: “Anthony is the most special person I’ve had the honor to meet and love. Every day has been a blessing. He’s the most patient, supportive, attentive, and loving man God could’ve blessed me with.” It was obvious to me that they are very much looking forward to their wedding day and their life together! Cheers to creating more memories and filling their days with love and happiness!
