Diana and Tony’s down town Jacksonville Florida engagement session is here!
How we met
We had the privilege of meeting this gorgeous couple years ago at their best friends wedding. You only need to spend about two minutes with them to see how kind, giving and wonderful people they are. There could not have been two people more dedicated to their friends on their special day.
When I found out they weren’t married yet, I told Diana that I would be honored if she called me when the time came. Since then they gifted my services to their friends and I have had the privilege of documenting several sessions for them all. People ask me all of the time if I love my job… How could I not?! I get to watch families grow!
The first session we shot for Diana and Tony was a family session with the two of them and Tony’s beautiful daughters. They wanted a downtown Jacksonville scene and I took them to my favorite places! You can check that session out here!
The Engagement Session
When we started talking about their Jacksonville Florida engagement session Diana and Tony wanted the same vibe as their family session. Tony owns Breitling Autoworks and works on luxury cars. He is so passionate about them that they wanted to add his Lamborghini to the session. There is no reason to lie here…. there was some nervousness brewing for me. The challenge was to put a different spin on the same location and add a car (which I had not done in a very long time). I will say, I think we all brought our A-Game Sunday morning and created some art!
Diana & Tony’s Love Story
I asked Diana to tell us their love story and here are her words:
Life can be a difficult journey but when you have a person that you can lean on and share life with, the journey is absolutely beautiful. A lot of people say that a relationship is 50/50 but in our life it is 100/100. Our relationship is about God, love, peace and happiness. We build each other up and take the time to meet each other’s needs. We choose love and each other every day.
When Tony proposed, it was completely unexpected. We invited 25-30 of our friends and family, and I didn’t think much of it since we have weekend gatherings quite often. Tony had been talking about starting traditions for a couple months, so I was completely oblivious when he asked for everyone’s attention, took out a slim box from his pocket, and started talking about traditions. He assured everyone that the box is not what they think it is, as he carried on talking about my accomplishments and creating memories. Suddenly, he got on one knee and said that the tradition he wanted to celebrate was me. It was such a surprise, that it took me a minute to process what was happening! Even though Tony was on one knee, with a jewelry box open with a beautiful ring in it. I was in absolute shock and I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal, it was simply perfect!
