Danielle & Riaan had an intimate wedding at one of the oldest houses in historic Saint Augustine. This venue was so cool! It was the place of 8 of Ray Charles’ first concerts and Danielle & Riaan were married on that very stage!
Danielle works for Lennar Homes, Land Acquisition and is from Connecticut. Riaan works for GRI, Progam Management and is from South Africa. Although they are from two different continents, it is super obvious that they were destined to meet. They joke that it took 39 years and 9300 miles to find each other and I could not agree with them more. How did they meet you might ask? They met in the most traditional way possible… On Bumble 😉 and had their first date at the Ice Plant in Saint Augustine. The rest was history! They make each other laugh in a way only someone who truly gets you can.
The proposal was super cute. A close friend of theirs had a birthday coming up and they decided to come in town for a weekend visit. Danielle thought they were going to have a nice dinner at Caps on the Water to celebrate their visit and the birthday. Slowly throughout the day, they heard from all of their other close friends and they happened to be in the area and could join up with them for a group dinner. Riaan stood up to propose a toast. Dianelle thought it was for his best friends birthday but then he got down on one knee instead!
Congratulations you two! I foresee lots of happiness and laughter in your future =)
