They say that friendships are for a reason, season or a lifetime. Erica and Liane definitely have a lifetime friendship! They have been best friends for 22 years. They have lived through each season of life together. Marriage, heartbreak, children (at different times) and it has not mattered. Although many things changed, one thing did not, their love and dedication to their friendship… So much so that they even scheduled back to back family sessions so they could have some photos together!
I asked them both to tell me how they would describe their relationship and here is what they said…
Liane: “Erica is my soul sister, a part of me. She knows me inside and out. She lifts me up, she carries me, she loves me. I wouldn’t be who I am without her. Everything good inside of me is a direct reflection of what I have learned from her. Erica is the best human I know. If I had to choose, I’d pick her again 1000 times. I’m so incredibly blessed to have her as a best friend. If nothing else, my life has been better because of her. She’s also so darn beautiful I can’t even stand it!”
Erica: “So describing my friendship with Liane is happy, sad and mad. I say that because we can be all of those things together and for each other. It’s also complicated…complicated because life is complicated. How many things can change in 22 years? Everything! Friends, family, work, weight, your entire outlook on life… Things that you never thought would become obstacles become obstacles. So, in those moments when things come crashing down with someone or something, Liane is the person that knows the whole back story. She knows every detail just as I do. It’s all real here. We’re not afraid to be ugly, honest, wrong, embarrassed, ashamed, or scared. It’s as if we were emotionally naked in front of each other because it truly is a judgement free zone. It was a friendship at first that has just grown into so much more. Liane is family that has a beautiful understanding of who I am and I am the same to her. I love her more than words could say.”
Que all of the tears here….
I had to add their signature photo to the post and it was so much more fun as a sequence of events!

And of course I had to put their kiddos in here. They act like brothers and sisters and love each other like family. How cute are these cutie pies! Stay tuned for some previews of their sessions! They are for sure worth seeing!

I can’t even….. I’ve watched them grow into amazing women who honor each other, they truly are each 1/2 of a whole heart, yin and yang, each other’s “person”. I am so glad they have each other!
