When I met Laura I just knew I had to have her in front of my lens. She’s spunky, fun and gorgeous! Having lived in Florida for so long I’ve had a vision of shooting in the snow for years and every year I get closer but never get my prize. We scheduled a time that forecasted snow and just waited for the day to come. The day before our shoot I was in sunny Tampa, Florida shooting a wedding but I was scheduled to be back in Charlotte, NC just in time for the snow. As my plane landed all I saw was a beautiful winter wonderland and gorgeous snow flurries. I could envision shooting on every corner and could see the images I was going to create in my head. I rushed home, packed my gear, opened the front door… and the Snow. Was. Gone… All of it. Melted. I felt like my Halloween candy had been stolen… my dreams crushed. Laura and I drove for a few hours north hoping we would still find a patch of heaven but much to our dismay… no dice. Once I realized that it wasn’t going to happen (Laura endulged my denial for a bit) I switched gears and figured life wasn’t too shabby since I still got to play with a beautiful girl in a stunning dress. Plan B is looking pretty darn fabulous if I can say so myself! A huge thank you to Melissa with Proper Flower for the bouquet and Cali Stott for makeup and hair! <3
