Sam and Stephen have been dating for 7 years. Yes, I said 7! I have known them for a long time and have been waiting for this wedding the entire time! I’m so excited to share my favorites from their engagement session at the Cummer Museum and Gardens and how he proposed!
The first time they went to San Diego years ago they went out to the cliffs over the ocean to go watch the sunset. Stephen had taken a picture of Sam facing the sun with her back towards him as the sun was setting. On the second trip they knew they wanted to go back and watch the sunset on the same cliffs again. The first day they were able to make it out, there was nothing but fog and they couldn’t even see the sun. Sam could tell Stephen was upset about it, so Sam, her brother, Stephen made sure to make it out the next day. Stephen had been quiet and in retrospect nervous, the entire car ride. When they walked out onto the cliffs, Stephen asked Sam to turn around. He explained that he wanted to get a better picture with her back towards him while facing the sun. Sam thought nothing of it and obliged. He took the picture and asked her to turn around for another picture… Stephen was on knee and of course she said yes! I can’t wait for their gorgeous November wedding!! XOXO
