My husband and I were traveling to Atlanta to enter our Doberman in an international dog show (which we totally won btw! Our Manci is now a National and an International Champion – Whoop Whoop!) Of course I had to take the opportunity to shoot somewhere I haven’t before so I invited along one of my favorite models. We planned the shoot to the T… We contacted a local bridal shop (Black Tie Formals) and we got some amazing dresses to shoot. I researched locations and the weather and everything was ready to go… The model and I left at 5am that morning and drove 3.5 hours to reach snow… Our optimism didn’t even waver when we realized it had been raining harder and harder the closer we got to our destination. We have shot in inclement weather before and we have never ever not been able to make it work… But alas you can’t win them all… When we got to Maggie Valley, NC the rain had turned to sleet and the fog made the surrounding mountains and trees nearly invisible. I may not have gotten the shot I originally had set my heart on but we did get creative and decided to shoot: Cold Hearted – A bride with the heart of ice. This couldn’t be farther from the truth as Morgan is one of the sweetest people I know, but we thought the concept was cool and ran with it. Hope you love it as much as I do! Here’s one for now… More to come. XOXO!
